On this page, you find all my materials for typesetting in LaTeX, links to videos, resources and paid materials for my free online classes on YouTube, as well as links to blog entries and interesting reads on the matter.
After giving a class on LaTeX at my university for several years, I rediscovered the topic over publishing a bunch of videos on Linux-related topic on my channel. Eventually a lot of viewers just asked for some LaTeX tutorials. So I thought I put this one out there!

For general TeX support (regarding questions about the free course and more advanced things), consider joining the Patreon tier called »LaTeX« on my Patreon page. Because I simply don’t have the time to answer questions, this is how I can limit it and make time for a few people who want to deepen their knowledge and need support. However, I can’t offer stuff like fixing your printer issue or general Linux problems like “Dude, my texlive distro doesn’t work, meh”. That’s just beyond my capaciy.
Resources
You will need the following software ideally:
- some Linux distribution (I use Debian 12)
texlive-full
LaTeX distribution- Kile editor (or whatever other editor you like, but my course is in Kile)
- some pdf viewer (Kile comes with Okular automatically → recommended)
LaTeX & related links
- Detexify → draw any symbol and it finds it for you as a TeX command
- The TeXbook by Donald Knuth
- Knuth’s homepage
